The Adventure of Super Mario Bros. 3 Episode 6 - Never Koop a Koopa Overview
Episode six of "The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3" called Never Koop a Koopa aired on September 22, 1990 in the US on NBC. The episode begins with something highly unexpected. King Bowser Koopa holds up a white flag and claims that he is done with all of his evil ways and tells Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Princess Toadstool that him and his kids are leaving the Mushroom Kingdom for good. He even leaves his key to Castle Koopa with Princess Toadstool and says that he is donating it to charity.
Luigi smells a trap and warns Princess Toadstool but she likes the idea of providing the elderly mushrooms with a retirement home and goes to check out the castle. Mario goes along with her just to be on the safe side while Toad and Luigi follow behind them. Mario and Princess soon arrive at the castle and go in to look around. Their tour is ended quickly as it is indeed a trap that Bowser laid out. Bowser tells Cheatsy, who is with him, that he is going to teach him more lessons about lying and cheating and that he needs to pay close attention to how he is about to con Princess Toadstool out of the Mushroom Kingdom. Bowser attempts to get Princess Toadstool to sign the contract which would make him ruler of Mushroom Kingdom but she refuses.
Meanwhile, Luigi and Toad suspect that something is going on since Mario and Princess Toadstool have been in the castle so long. They end up going inside the castle but are soon caught and thrown into the dungeon as well. Now with everyone caught, Bowser threatens to blow all of them up if Princess Toadstool doesn't sign the contract. She ends up agreeing on two conditions. While Bowser goes to meet one of these conditions, his plan begins to backfire as Cheatsy takes the lesson he learned from his father and uses it on him.
