The Adventure of Super Mario Bros. 3 Episode 12 - Misadventure of Mighty Plumber Overview

The twelfth episode of "The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3" called Misadventure of Mighty Plumber aired on October 13th, 1990 in the US on NBC. In this episode, Mario and Luigi are watching a TV show which features a hero of theirs called Mighty Plumber. At Castle Koopa, Bowser is having a tantrum because he has a map to Pipe Land Coin Treasury but thinks that it is fruitless to go there since the Mario Bros. will stop him. Meanwhile, Cheatsy Koopa is zapping toys in commercials out of the TV.

Hip and Hop tell Bowser what Cheatsy is doing. At first he is annoyed but he soon comes up with the idea to zap Mighty Plumber out of the TV when he sees the show come on TV after the commercials. He then takes Cheatsy's wand and zaps Mighty Plumber out of the TV. He tricks Mighty Plumber into helping him with his plan to take the coins from Pipe Land Coin Treasury back to his castle.

To help put his plan into motion, Bowser sends a Venus Fire Trap to spit fireballs into Toads house letting the Mario Bros. know that he is planning on stealing the coins from the treasury. Mario and Luigi then go to stop Bowser. What they don't know is that Bowser has Mighty Plumber on his side as Bowser told Mighty Plumber that Mario and Luigi, "the evil plumbers", are trying to rob the treasury. So now, Mario and Luigi have to go up against Bowser and Mighty Plumber who they respect and admire as their hero.
