The Adventure of Super Mario Bros. 3 Episode 3 - Mind Your Mummy Mommy, Mario Overview
The third episode of "The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3" called Mind Your Mummy Mommy Mario aired on September 15, 1990 on NBC in the US. In the beginning of the episode, Hip and Hop Koopa are in a pyramid in Desert Land attempting to steal a sarcophagus. After stumbling and making a racket, one of the sarcophagus in the tomb begins to act up so Hip and Hop make off with the other one which contains Prince Mushroomkhamen which bears a close resemblance to Mario.
Queen Mushroomkhamen soon gets out the sarcophagus that was left behind and chases Hip and Hop since they have her son. She eventually loses sight of them and begins to roam around Desert Land searching for her son. A mushroom boy soon notifies Mario, Luigi, Princess Toadstool, and Toad about what is happening and they all go to see what is happening.
Upon arrival at the scene, they see the upset mummy on a rampage. Trying to figure out what is going on, they spot Hip and Hop making off with a sarcophagus and feel that they have something to do with it. Princess Toadstool, Luigi and Toad go after Hip and Hop and Mario goes to try to stop the mummy. Mario attempts goes sour when the mummy mistakes him as her son. She chases after him while the others are chasing after Hip and Hop. Mario gets captured by the mummy and Hip and Hop make their escape on Bowsers Doomship.
Princess, Luigi and Toad sees that Mario has been captured and goes to find a map to where Mario is. After looking at the map, Princess Toadstool realizes why the mummy captured Mario. Mario looks like her son. So, she comes up with a plan to break into King Koopa's Castle to get the sarcophagus with Queen Mushroomkhamen's real son and trade Mario back. However, it wont be an easy task unless Luigi, Princess Toadstool, and Toad come up with a good plan to get the sarcophagus and escape with it without being defeated by Bowser and his minions.
