The Adventure of Super Mario Bros. 3 Episode 19 - Crimes R Us Overview

The nineteenth episode of "The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3" called Crimes R Us aired on November 10th, 1990 in the US on NBC. The episode begins with Bowser and his koopalings on the Doomship in the real world. They come across a prison and Bully Koopa goes down on a rope to ask one of the prisoners if they are Crimewave Clyde. When the prisoner explains that he is indeed Crimewave Clyde, Bully tells him that his father is giving him a pardon and he takes Clyde and brings him onboard the Doomship.

Clyde does not know the Koopa's or their intentions with having him onboard but Bowser soon explains to him that he wants him to teach his koopalings the tactics he used to commit crimes. In exchange, Bowser offers him half of whatever they manage to steal. However, King Bowser really doesn't mean that. Clyde agrees and begins to teach the koopalings their first lesson; bank robbery.

Meanwhile, Mario and Luigi are taking a stroll through Mushroom Kingdom. While looking at the clouds, Luigi catches sight of Bowser's Doomship. The Mario Bros. know that trouble is about to arise and soon they figure out that the Koopas are robbing a bank. Mario and Luigi try to stop the koopalings but they end up getting away. Back at Castle Koopa, Clyde tells the koopalings they will begin their next lesson; getting rid of the good guys.

So, the koopalings devise a plan to lure Luigi and Mario down into a pipe and traps them. With Mario and Luigi trapped and the Koopalings committing more crimes, things are looking bad in Mushroom Kingdom. However, since Bowser had no intention of sharing anything with Clyde, the koopalings turn on him. Now Clyde must get the Mario Bros. to help him return to the real world while stopping the Koopas plan of robbing Mushroom Kingdom Treasury.
